I can't remember if her mother was there or not. You have thunk that her mother might have said something, but that's assuming her mother didn't encourage her daughter to dress inappropriately for her own wedding in the first place. Or that Daddy, by saying "Whatever you want" constantly, negated any positive pressure.

Some of the other stories on the show are interesting, but personally, I couldn't even fathom spending $500 on a wedding dress you're only going to wear once. Maybe *rent* a dress for a day--that I could get behind.

But you're talking to the woman who drove to Vegas with her husband-to-be and went through the Justice of the Peace. We avoided all the family shit, and for that, I'm forever grateful.
