gategrrlYesterday, due to the heavy rain, our power went out for most of the day. It outage even affected the school Tall Boy goes to, which surpised me, but there you go. When the power went out, it took our computers with it. When I tried turning it on again, it worked, but Firefox would NOT work. Nor would Explorer. But Safari (how the hell did THAT get on my machine?) did work. Sort of.
Today, instead of the power being out, the internet was out. It was a wide area outage. Mermaid and I went to Borders with its free WiFi to work on some of her classes.
When I got home, I ended up spending three hours or four trying to get online. I did, for a short while. And then I tried going onto the yWriters website and apparently got my machine infected by a really bad trojan virus. My screen turned green, with a big black sign in the center with big red letters stating my computer was infected. I turned it off when another smaller white window popped up that said that my computer was being manipulated by someone/thing from outside my house.
OMG.
I think the computer is going to have a complete system wipe. The Guy was going to do it anyway, and I was lucky enough to move most of my stuff over to a connected hard-drive...(( hopefully all of my photos, I have to check, I hope I can still move a few files over before the wipe))
