Kiss-kiss Midnight!
Happy 2010 to all my flisters!
I almost missed midnight because I realized I was drowsing away on the couch while watching a Big Machines episode on Discovery Channel (or The Learning Channel?). I grabbed my mini speakers and iPod, and hunkered down to listen to a Dr Who episode that Smuffster so extremely kindly made available a while back, and promptly fell asleep right around the same time in the episode as I had before, hence missing the same part of the episode as last time!
The Guy, Mermaid, and Tall Boy came in at around midnight and all of them group-smooched me on the cheeks and forehead while I went, "Wha?" so I WAS in fact awake for midnight, or right after it, and didn't miss the passing of one decade into the next.
Of course, because I fell asleep so darned early around 10ish, I woke up 5am on the dot. And I'm still awake. Seven hours is all I need. Argh. I'd LIKE to be asleep right now. Ah well. Mermaid slept on-and-off all night, with the first season of The Gilmore Girls playing on her computer/TV monitor.
