Ugh, all the ash and smoke from the La Canada fire has made its way over to my valley--and whoa, really bad smelling, too. Just gotta love those forest fires.
Here at work, I'm right in between the La Canada fire and the Morris fire. Neither is far. I cannot even tell you how terrible the sky is and how toxic the air is to breathe. Ick.
...and the people who cause them. Excepting anyone who's truly mentally incompetent, I really despise anyone capable of the intention or negligence required to start a wildfire in this region.
The ash/smoke clouds coming over the horizon this afternoon were truly amazing. Mermaid took some movies and picture of it billowing over the tallest mountain on our side of the Angeles Forest. It was wow. Cars were slowing down to get a good look at it.
I haven't been reading up on the stories about the fire today--I understand there are more fires, and they've spread?
