deej1957 , I bought some used copies of Rob Thurman's first three books in the Cal Leandros series. Just thought you'd want to know. ;-)

You might not find these as addictive as I do, either. :-) See if your local library has them and give the first one a shot. The worst that'll happen is you waste a half hour at the library.

I actually DID check the LAPL (Los Angeles Public Library) but it didn't have any books listed under that author or under the titles.

Well, that bites! You should request them. Might not mean they'll get 'em, but if enough people request, they might go for it.

LAPL is a little weird--they have a gazillion branches, and don't seem to register paperbacks into their online system. When I check paperbacks out off the paperback rack, more often than not the title doesn't get printed on my receipt or in my online account.

So, they might actually *have* them-but I wouldn't be able to know unless I did the legwork to make sure!

There's always Barnes & Noble. :-) Give the author a cookie. :-)

If I get really into it, I'll buy the new one in a bookstore.But, the other ones are on their way. :-)
