I called an electrician to the house today, to take a look at the circuit box that keeps cutting the dryer off before a load is finished (yeah, it's been at least a year since that started happening). He took the old switch out, installed a new switch,  and now my dryer works!

I am SO HAPPY!!!!!!!

I feel stupid for being so happy about such a silly thing (who really wants to do more laundry?) but it's great - it means I don't have to keep running outside to the laundry room in the detached garage several times a night/day to make sure the dryer hasn't cut off on me! Wheeeeeeeeeee!

And on another note, though it doesn't make me nearly as joyous, my Asus Eee is heading out to me TODAY! I should get it by Thursday, I think. The store I bought it from is in NYC. And it's going Fedex, I think. I'll have to check.  Another Whheeeeee!

Congratulations!
(and thank you for reminding me that I left a load of wet laundry in the washer last night...) :)

hehe I understand being happy about something like your dryer working. You *have* to do the laundry--or someone does--whether it's a pain in the ass or not. The circuit thingee was both an annoying inconvenience and was maybe even possibly dangerous.

So yay! It's fixed. :-)

You may or not remember when I was so excited about getting a new washer and dryer a while back. Laundry used to be something I dreaded because it hurt my back to bend over and I couldn't even get some loads out of the dryer. I had to get someone else to do it for me. More than that, it was a pain. The washer didn't always rinse properly, and the dryer started making everything smell bad (like burned rubber or something). I started to wonder if the cat was peeing on all my laundry! I also sometimes had weird grease spots on the clothes. I don't know how many things got ruined or had to be washed over and over and over.

Now I rarely even think about laundry. I do it, toolman does it, and even my son does it. It's just something that happens now. *g*

So yeah, I was very happy and I'm still happy. *g* Laundry is still a chore, but it's no longer this huge thing in my life that's causing me pain and annoyance nearly everyday.

Nothing wrong with making your life a little easier. :-)
