Boy Footwear
Jun. 26th, 2011 07:22 amTall Boy has needed new sneakers for weeks now, but has refused to go to the shoe store with me. He's been wearing a pair of hiking boots from a couple of years ago that still (!) fit him instead. He lost his sneakers somewhere along the way, probably at a friend's house. We never found them. Finally with the Guy's reinforcement (he was home yesterday) Tall Boy went with me to the shoe store.
Of course, he ended up getting the most expensive sneakers in the discount store (Footwear House). He's a 6.5 Youth size, and there weren't many choices. He's also got feet just like mine, so I understood what he meant by how the sneakers he tried on felt on his feet. I told him he'd better NOT lose these or I'd be really angry with him. It was weird, but the same shop didn't have any decent sandals or flip flops for boys. They almost never do. I can't figure out why. Target usually doesn't, either. I don't get it: don't stores like selling shoes and summer wear for boys?
