All Kids Sick

Yesterday I dragged (okay, walked) Tall Boy to school. He was crying. I know, I can be a hardass. I didn't quite believe he was feeling as badly as he was. As we walked into his school, a friend of his was leaving with his mother. He'd thrown up already, and it was 9am.
I walked him to his teacher's room, and fortunately all the other kids were out doing PE. She told me that the day before (Tuesday) he was unfocussed, and kept gazing off into the distance and phasing out. So she sent him home with me. This morning, he told me he feels like he did yesterday, I called the school, they told me, yeah, don't bring him in.
Meanwhile, I noticed last night that Mermaid was a little "off". She sounded hoarse, and looked more tired than usual at 9pm. Sure enough, this morning she told me she feels nauseus, and had a hard time getting her balance. No temp. I checked.
Frankly, I'm still feeling rotten, too. I've been taking cough medicine and taking my Proventil to keep my lungs from getting inflamed from this cold.
What IS it this year?
