Two dead black cats...and no, no punchline

This Friday, there were not ONE but TWO dead black cats lying in the road. The first one was just outside the main intersection from my neighborhood. The second one was on the entrance ramp up into one of the freeways that Mermaid & I take every morning to take her to school. Later on in the afternoon, one of Mermaid's friends said that she and *her* mother saw two other dead black cats in other places in the area.

Poor cats. It was so sad. I hope karma hits back hard on the people who deliberately hit or killed those cats. And yes, Halloween.
