(no subject)

I just decided to NOT eat cereal for lunch, seeing as I have BOTH my children home today. Tall Boy has a plugged up gut again, and reallyreallyreallyreally didn't want to go to school. When I told him to get his sneakers and jacket on, he vanished into his room to listen to Bunnicula on CD, and hid under his blanket. Oye.Vay. I think I got down to the bone of the matter; he's very bright (in the GATE program for smart kids) and he told me he's bored. He likes his teacher, he likes his classmates and he gets along with them Just Fine. He's just BORED.

What the hell do you DO about that?

Fortunately, parent-teacher conferences are coming up at the end of March, but I think I might have to talk to her about this sooner than in three weeks. *facepalm* Kids.

With Mermaid going back to a brick and mortar school next year, I'm semi-considering schooling Tall Boy at home next year through CAVA. Maybe. I'd hate to take him out of his school, though. He knows all the kids, he likes just about everyone there...I'm not so sure for him that it would be such a great idea. He's shyer than Mermaid, and he gets to see his pals from next door *all the freaking time*...I just don't know.
