superbowl wtf?
Feb. 7th, 2010 01:12 pmFor some weird reason, Mermaid got it into her head to watch the Superbowl today. Now, note that in our family we do NOT EVER watch sports on television. We are not sports fans. We cheer on Boston when they're winning, but other than that, sports tends to be nonentity here. Can't figure out why, except that perhaps her friends' parents are all having Superbowl Sunday parties with family or friends, and we never do that at all.
So she kicked Tall Boy off the tv, which he's had on since early this morning playing some xbox game or other. And in a few minutes I'm going to start on a few pages on our short trip to San Diego in 1997 with the Guy (which was nearly a disaster but turned out not to be).
Also, I sent in my submission to the Crazy Daisy kit company for their design team. From what they're saying on their blog, they've gotten a ton of submissions, so I'm not counting on getting one of the five positions. There's always next time. We'll see. I never win at stuff, so if I do, I'll be really really surprised. I'll post the pages I submitted in a little while so y'all can see what I'm doing!
