Wacktastick! Billy Don't Be a Hero!
May. 3rd, 2008 01:45 pmOkay, who among my flist is willing to admit that A) They remember 1974's Billy Don't Be a Hero and B) remember listening willingly to that song and C) actually memorized the lyrics?
I'm admitting to it. I'm also actually admitting to finding it on iTunes and downloading it onto my iPod. It's the only song I can remember the lyrics to. Most likely because I memorized them early on in my life, and I remember my brother, sister, cousin and I memorizing it and singing it to my (now deceased) grandmother in an effort to get money out of her so we could walk down to the local 7-11 and get some ice cream.
Ah, good times. Billy, I still love your kitschy heart, you dead hero. ::grins:: When you're nine years old, a lot can be forgiven.
