the laundromat

I spent about an hour and half (a little less, I think) at the laundromat today. And you know what? I kinda like it there. I do some of the wash in the machine at home, but I also bring at least two load's worth with me, and pop the double load in one of the larger machines, and have a double-dryer load going at the same time. If anything, I get my laundry done *faster* this way, and I only have to do it two-three times a week instead of constantly, all week, letting it drag out.

Plus, while I'm there, the tables are usually empty, so I grab one, and either do some writing, or preplanning for writing on NaNo. It works. And the women who were there today were a little more nicer than the last time. Maybe because they've seen me there a couple of times already? I don't know.

And while the Guy really needed a clean shirt this morning, I did a load last night, and this morning stuck it into the dryer (without the heat working) and let it tumble and airdry. Works fine for a few items. I am really not stressing this. hee. Although I suppose eventually, the dryer will have to get fixed. Right now our foliage is overgrown on our property, and if the first estimate is anything to go by, we let it go for waaaay too long. (try over a thousand bucks of greenery hacking and trimming and stuff!)
