Tonight's Stargate

I have it on now. I'm finding reading the forums on Delphi and Sony more interesting.

My Guy said he wished Vala would come back. I told him she would be back at the end of the season, and that they wrote her pregnancy into the plot next season -- and to think "Angel" and Jasmine. He doesn't like spoilers at all.

I told him I wasn't sure I'd be watching the show at that point. He watched the second half of SG, then walked away at the end, and doesn't bother with Atlantis. I didn't bother with Atlantis, either, except to watch a few excerpts.

We discussed how the show was nowhere near as textured and full of subtexts and ironies as BSG is, and forget about comparing the tightness of the stories and scripts.

Stargate may be getting the ratings, but BSG is getting the stories and depth in characterization I like. It's too bad MS wasn't selected for Apollo. It would have been the best of both worlds. And to think I was getting a fangirls' dream of seeing Ben Browder and Michael Shanks together on Stargate, together -- well, bye bye dream. Stargate doesn't work anymore.
